We already voted on this in 2024, and we were clear. Abortion and other reproductive healthcare procedures should be between a person and their doctor, not the government. This amendment, proposed by the legislature after overturning the Amendment 3 that we voted on in 2024, will be a backslide for reproductive healthcare. People will inevitably fall through the cracks of the weak exceptions that will be enshrined into the Constitution. Vote 'NO' on this Amendment 3!
This amendment is a direct attack on our rights to petition the government whenever they ignore us. This amendment would give a small minority of voters the ability to override a massive statewide majority. The requirements put forth in this do not apply to the legislature. If they propose a Constitutional amendment, it does not need a majority in all eight congressional districts, only a simple statewide majority, like we have now. This is the legislature trying to rig the game against the people. Vote 'NO' on Amendment 4!
This is a tax-cut for the rich and tax-increase for the poor and working class. This amendment gives the legislature the ability to put sales taxes on any good or service that they please, in the name of "eliminating" the income tax. That includes rent, utilities, medical services, haircuts, automotive repairs, and other things that working people pay and rely on. Seniors on a fixed income already don't pay income taxes, but they do pay sales taxes. Working families might save a little from income tax, but they will pay more in increased sales taxes. The 1% will reap the benefits of this tax-swap. There is a reason that zero Democrats supported it and several Republicans voted against it, and it's because it is bad legislation. Vote 'NO' on Amendment 5!
